The whole place was spotlessly clean and had breathtaking views, and the location was superb, close to the beautiful vineyards of Southern Burgundy.

Driving up to Hotel le Dracy doesn't fill you with much hope - it looks like the Crossroads Motel. Inside however, it's quite different. A little quirky, you feel the warmth of the welcome the minute you walk in. The rooms are quite basic and could do with a bit of refurbishment but there are nice public areas and a lovely big garden with large pool. Very relaxing after a long drive (it's only a few km from the motorway). Dinner was excellent.
The bed was a bit hard.

We had a very comfortable overnight stop at the Hotel le Dracy and thought that the restaurant was extremely good. We shall stay at this hotel again if we are in that area of France.

My husband and I have been using Hotel Le Dracy as a stopover hotel on our car journey to and from various holiday venues in the south east of France almost every summer for the past 20 years. It is situated in beautiful countryside more or less exactly half way between Calais and Nice (where we now have a holiday home) and it is a quick and easy drive (about 10 mins) from the Autoroute. It is a very clean, neat and comfortable hotel with air conditioned rooms, affording a relaxing break to our journey. It also has a good restaurant, "La Garenne" which offers a choice of a la carte or 4-course set menus at 30 and 40 euros. This makes our one-night stay at Le Dracy less of a stopover and more an enjoyable part of our holiday. Meals can be taken on the terrace in fine weather. The friendly and efficient staff at this hotel speak to us clearly in French (which we like) but are willing and able to converse in English.
